15 Days to go - but today is about doctors.

I can't work too much today. I have to go to the doctor's for a medical checkup. Nothing too serious, just a general medical checkup with xrays to make sure I'm not developing any weird diseases. Because you know, being a foreigner makes you more prone to that despite having lived here for the past 7 years. /sarcasm.

Can you tell I'm not too big on the idea that I have to pay almost 300 dollars for this? And it's not like I'm given a choice in the matter either. But it has to be done, so this afternoon will see me waiting in the doctor's waiting room.

Have a peek at my creative space today:

Little deer brooches! They are incredibly limited in brooch-form (there's a few I've made into hair clips) as I only had a small supply of brooch backs. And as I've been trying to use up my stock, I didn't allow myself to get more. So if you like them, then be sure to come down to the Northside Makers Market!

(Or shoot me an email and I'll see what I can do for you.)

Today also marks the start of the Etsy Weekend Sale that's going on this weekend.

So grab it while it's there, it's only for the weekend! Read the shop announcement for more details on how to get in on this deal. I hope to see you in my shop !!

Friday Favourites: Away we go on a picnic!

It's Friday again, but it's not just any Friday!
It's the last Friday of the schooling term, and I join the kids in the fluttery excitement that is to come in the form of two weeks of holidays!

So much so that I'm starting to plan my picnics, and my dresses. Because really, what could be more exciting right?

So today's friday favourites is based around that: Dressing up. Oh what fun!

First you need a dress. It can't be just any dress, it has to be the perfect spring weather picnic dress.

This one from windyhillfibers is the perfect dress.

Isn't this just absolutely scrumptious?

And after we have the dress, we need something to add that little bit of accent..

How bout this brooch from BrokenHallelujah?

Let's not forget something for our hair! Aha! The whimsical floral comb from whichgoose will do beautifully.

And grab a basket from ashleyeaston

And away we go!

Would you like to be featured on my Friday Favourites? Leave a comment with your shop link and I'll add you to the list!!

Newest Listing (after how long?)

What with Manifest and then the rush to pay my bills / go to work / get things sorted: It's been awhile since I last listed or make anything. It's hard to create anything when you are feeling down and tired most days.

However last night I buckled down and the minute I was done cooking dinner, I sat myself down at the beading table and made this little gem.

Isn't she sweet? I named her My Fair Lady, for the name Eliza kept coming to mind when I was making this.
Available here if you'd like to purchase it.

Please read the item description for all the nitty gritty that is too long to repeat here on this blog.

-------------------------------------------------------

In other news: I was featured in EnchantedQuilling's most recent Treasury West list.

The theme was cameos: Isn't it pretty? I'm loving that black and white cameo by secretjewellz. Beauitfully elegant.
You can view this treasury here for the next few days. Have a look! Clicky love is always .. much loved.

-------------------------------------------------------

And the very last thing before I go, I missed Wishlist Wednesday but I can show you something for Friday Favourites.

I have always always always loved anything DNA related. So when Morphologica came out with these little babies, my heart stopped and I felt this desperate need to own them.

However with the fact that I will be moving soon looming over my head, I can't really spend money on anything for myself just yet. So meanwhile, I'll sit here eyeing it, rather impatiently awaiting the day when I can click on that 'buy' button!

Isn't it just gorgeous?
